Hibernation is Officially Over

Okay, I'm up! I'm up!

I decided that I must have been hibernating....

hibernate
1. To pass the winter in a dormant or torpid state.
2. To be in an inactive or dormant state or period.

The word dormant stood out to me, so I checked that one, too.

dormancy
state of reduced metabolic activity adopted by many organisms
under conditions of environmental stress or, often, as in winter,
when such stressful conditions are likely to appear.

Ah, there it is. Dormancy due to stress.

This winter was stressful, not bad really, just stressful. Even though things have been settled for a month or so, I haven't been able to do much of anything beyond the minimum that was expected of me.

I don't mean to be cryptic, but in order to keep this post from turning into a long, drawn out saga of my life since last Thanksgiving (I know, you can thank you me later), let me simply say that now I am awake. Spring beckons. Time to throw open the windows and air out the house.

I'll be talkin' to ya later! Good to be back online.
